How does it work?

To dissolve lip fillers, you’ll need injections of Hylenex (hyaluronidase) administered near the filler site.

Hylenex is a concentrated synthetic form of an enzyme that naturally occurs in your body. When injected, it accelerates the breakdown of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, speeding up a process that would otherwise happen gradually over time.

Hylenex was initially used for various medical purposes, but for nearly two decades, healthcare professionals have used it to dissolve HA fillers effectively.

Its versatility extends beyond lip fillers — Hylenex can also dissolve HA fillers in your cheeks, under the eyes, or other areas they may have been applied.

Procedure

The area will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure your comfort during the injections. Using a fine syringe, hylenex is injected and then gently massaged. Most visits are completed within 30 minutes, with the actual treatment taking less than 15 minutes.

Aftercare

Immediately following your treatment, you may return to your normal activities and wait 1-2 days before engaging in strenuous physical activity.
